Felony Assault: On August 30, 2026 at 9:00 p.m., Columbus police officers made an arrest of an individual with outstanding felony warrants. Upon arrival at the jail, officers discovered the individual had sustained an old gunshot wound that occurred a number of days earlier. The victim was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive. The incident is still under investigation and it is not yet known what led to the shooting.
