Des Plaines police officers responded at approximately 2:44 p.m. to a shooting at Touhy Avenue and Magnolia Street during a domestic disturbance call. Ayham Babidi, 21, was shot by a Des Plaines police officer and transported to a local hospital where he later died. Babidi had previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
