Homicide: UPDATE AUGUST 27, 2026: On August 27, 2026, based on informationed gained during the investigation of this homicide, Murder warrants were filed for, and Massamba Dieye, Male/Black/19. All three were later arrested by Columbus SWAT personnel without incident that same day. On August 23, 2026, at approximately 3:08 AM, Columbus Police officers were in the area of the 1000 block of North High Street when they heard gunfire. Officers arrived at the scene and found a victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Columbus Fire Medic 13 personnel arrived and transported to an area hospital. Despite all efforts by medical personnel, was pronounced deceased at 5:51 AM. Next of kin have been notified. View Source
