Shot Fired. contacted Glenn County Communications and reported two gunshots in close proximity to her residence, the roadway, in Orland. Upon arrival deputies contacted, Hubbard, Jason Lepper and Thad Sloan and initiated an investigation. It was determined Sload fired two 20-guage slug rounds, in a northwesterly direction at the location E, at a buck in the pasture just south of Hubbard's residence. Lepper reported he heard the gunshots and believed a round came within feet of him and residence (the roadway). Deputies did not locate any signs of Lepper's residence being hit by a round and Lepper later advised it may not have been a round. Sloan produced a valid hunting license, a deer tag, his shotgun shells and allowed deputies to inspect his 220 Savage shotgun. Sloan was ultimately counseled and Lepper declined to pursue the matter criminally. View Source
